Our Story
The White Rose Society was born from a simple conviction: that women deserve a space as refined, ambitious, and intellectually alive as the historic private clubs of the past — reimagined entirely for the modern era.

Charlotte Borau Richards
Charlotte founded The White Rose Society to bring together women who refuse to choose between a life of achievement and a life of beauty. She envisioned a community where careers and culture intertwine — where a conversation about leadership can flow naturally into one about literature, opera, or art.
Above all, she wanted to create a sanctuary for women of every status and background: a place to find support for life and career, and to discover that the arts, culture and opportunities are not reserved for the few, but belong to everyone.
Under her guidance, the Society has grown from a small university gathering into an emerging international network, with branches forming at universities and in cities around the world.
What We Believe
Ambition
We pursue excellence in every field — not for status, but for the fulfilment of our potential.
Grace
We move through the world with poise, kindness, and an unwavering respect for others.
Curiosity
We seek out culture, ideas, and perspectives that expand our understanding of the world.
Mutual Support
We rise by lifting one another. Success is sweeter when it is shared.
Why the Society Was Created
Too often, women are asked to compartmentalise their lives: the professional self, the cultural self, the social self. The White Rose Society rejects that division. We believe that a life well-lived is one where ambition is pursued with grace, where success is shared, and where culture is not a luxury but a necessity.
We exist for the woman who wants to build a meaningful career while remaining intellectually alive, socially connected, and personally fulfilled.
